Lisa Kantor was recently nominated for a WEGO Health Activist Hero Award. The WEGO Health Activist Awards program was created to recognize and honor those making a difference in the online health community.
Lisa’s commitment to eating disorder treatment for those who are denied benefits is not simply confined to her work as an attorney. Lisa works tirelessly as a lobbyist and board member of the Eating Disorder Coalition to lobby for changes to legislation that affects those who suffer from eating disorders, she is also a member of the Binge Eating Disorder Association (“BEDA”) and the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (“IAEDP”).
Lisa has saved the lives of many eating disorder sufferers. She works tirelessly with facilities to ensure that patients get the time they need for treatment and goes above and beyond the scope of her role as an attorney in fighting for her clients’ rights.
